Our Arrival in Vienna

We got here at night on Thursday, June 2nd after leaving the evening of Wednesday, June 1st. We slept a little on the plane, but were really tired. Thankfully Curt met us at the airport and helped us get home. We didn’t really see any of the city that first night as we were traveling on the underground metro for most of it. We had a short walk from the tram/streetcar to the apartment. This is where I took my first photo in Vienna. This stop sign is at the intersection of Jahngasse and Spengergasse. IMG_5432

It is right across from an establishment called The Romantic Cafe-Bar. We’re not quite sure what type of business it is. I’ll post a sign for it later and maybe we’ll have figured it out by then. We have our suspicions. With that being said, we are in a nice part of the city. Our apartment is nothing fancy; it’s actually a dorm style apartment, so it’s very minimalist. We have no complaints, though!

    1. Thanks! We are getting settled pretty well…if I can just stay in the right time zone! I had a hard time sleeping the other night and my inner clock has started to revert.
